Here is a large version of a guestbook / map
available from Slide.com. Slide used to have a bunch of cool
free addons but got bought by Google and I assume they are
reformatting their widgets. This widget has several different
skins and themes and there is a direct link to embed this on
Facebook. I have mine set to approve any postings to avoid any
problems with spam and questionable photos.
So please sign my guestbook and upload your
photo to get on my map and I will approve your post ASAP.
If you want a map that
shows your visitors' locations, but you don't want to use up
space and resources, this is the map widget for you. It is
updated daily, and your visitors can click on the map to see a
larger version.
Just
when you thought there could not possibly be another free
weather station widget, weatherforecastmap.com comes up with a
bunch of cool weather widgets free for your website or blog.
There is no registration or signup, just insert your city into
the URL and you will see a page full of free widgets for
your city that you just copy and paste the code. If your city
has 2 words, put an underscore _ between the words. This widget
will not work on an intranet site or be visual in your web page
editor. It will only be visible on an internet site that is
available to the public. They have a couple transparent widgets
that are pretty cool.
Replace fort_worth
in the URL above with your city using no capital letters. Then
copy and paste the address in your browser to see the page of
available widgets.
Forbes.com widgets allow you to view, engage and share
content on blogs, social media sites such as Facebook and MySpace,
personal homepages like Netvibes and iGoogle, as well as personal
websites. They created these widgets (modules) in the Forbes.com look and feel, and have ensured that the experience of adding a
widget is literally as easy as 1-2-3. All it takes is three clicks of your mouse to get a widget integrated into virtually any page. There is no download required.
